One of Durham Region’s hidden gems for wedding receptions and wedding photos has to be Trafalgar Castle School. At one time the largest private residence in Canada (until Casa Loma came along, itself another wonderful wedding venue), it is now a boarding school for girls and a beautiful place to get married. Daryle and Kerri had their late summer wedding ceremony and photos at Trafalgar Castle, with the reception at the newly opened Brock Street Brewing Company in downtown Whitby. I’m not a beer drinker so I can’t vouch for the drinks, but man was the food ever good!
To start the day, Kerri thoughtfully laid out all her accessories in a very photogenic way, as well as had her bridesmaids in matching plaids. As you can tell from the photos, Kerri is very outgoing and couldn’t contain her excitement to get married — look at her exuberant expressions throughout the ceremony and reception! The interior spaces at Trafalgar Castle were wonderfully ornate, warm, and the perfect place for us to hide from the small smattering of rain that happened. Congratulations, Daryle and Kerri!
