These two adorable people were so nervous before their High Park engagement photo shoot, but they totally nailed it! Like most couples, Venessa & Jeff had never really been in front of a professional photographer before, but with a little direction from moi they were total naturals.
One of the best features of High Park are the cherry blossom trees which bloom for only about a week every year, if that. The timing and weather has to be impeccable to be able to great photos with the cherry blossoms — some years the blossoms don’t bloom at all, or are quickly pounded away by heavy rains. Not to mention the heavy crowds! Gobs of people tend to swarm the cherry blossoms to take selfies. So what does a photographer do when the cherry blossoms aren’t a viable option? PLUM BLOSSOMS! They’re just as pretty if not prettier (in my opinion) than the cherry blossoms, and they have the added bonus of being devoid of crowds. Look at how that pink colour pops in the photos!
Of course, no High Park engagement session would be complete without seeing the rest of the park too, so Venessa & Jeff posed for some gorgeous shots by the pond just as the sun was setting. I love these so much!
