As a regular vacationer to Halifax, Nova Scotia over the last decade, I’ve made a lot of friends there. When my good friend Christine asked me to fly out to photograph her casual Halifax Public Gardens wedding, I jumped at the opportunity! I’d never pass up a chance to visit my favourite province and one of my favourite people. Christine and her new husband Matt looked fab in their slightly dressed-down wedding attire, and the Halifax Public Gardens were a perfect spot. It was a chilly October day but Christine somehow stayed warm in her wedding dress sans sleeves — chalk that up to the higher pain tolerance of redheads, I suppose.
If you ever find yourself in Halifax, I urge you to explore the Halifax Public Gardens. Even on a bad-weather day, it’s still a beautiful spot.
